Molecular Breeding (PLBR 483.5)

12 Presentations. Application of DNA markers to the identification, manipulation, and isolation of genes important to plant and animal productivity using molecular genetic techniques. Students learn how to design and execute experiments to identify quantitative trait loci (QTLs), as well as how to apply molecular markers to plant and animal breeding programs.
